What are we doing on nappies today?
The wood fibre used in our Huggies® Nappies and Nappy-Pants, DryNites® Night Time Pants and Huggies Little Swimmers® Disposable Swimpants is certified to internationally recognised forest certification standards and is responsibly sourced.*
Our Huggies® Nappies are made with an average of 30% biodegradable material (does not include Nappy-Pants^).
All our nappy products are made with no added nasties~ and gentle ingredients.
Our Huggies® Ultimate Nappies and Nappy-Pants feature a plant-derived liner wrap sourced from renewable sugarcane+.
What’s Next
It’s our ambition to create a nappy that is more sustainable from source, through production and post-life, that doesn’t compromise on our commitment to delivering the best care for babies. In the meantime, we are focused on the following:
We are committed to reducing the impact of our products and have a goal to include 75% biodegradable, recyclable or recycled material by 2030.
Currently there is no option in Australia or New Zealand to fully recycle disposable nappies. We continue to back local innovation and lobby for government support, with a goal to commence (at least) one nappy recycling trial by 2022.

Huggies® Ultimate and Thick Baby Wipes contain up to 57% less plastic than leading competitors*.
By choosing Huggies® Baby Wipes, the average household could reduce its plastic use by the equivalent of up to 60 plastic bottles a year from landfill^.
Huggies® is proud to have launched our first 100% biodegradable baby wipe~ – made with plant-derived fibres+.
Huggies® Ultimate and Thick Baby Wipes are made from 70% skin loving natural fibres in the form of responsibly sourced wood pulp.
What’s Next
We are focused on making all our Huggies® Baby Wipes ranges 100% biodegradable and continue to minimise the use of traditional plastic materials.
The Huggies&ref; Baby Wipes range currently offers a variety of re-fill formats including value re-fill packs, reusable tubs and Clutch ‘n’ Go wallets. We will continue to expand our refill and reusable formats and solutions.

What are we doing on packaging today?
Huggies® cardboard product packaging* is made from 75 - 100% recycled fibres and is fully recyclable through kerbside collections.

What’s Next
By 2025 100% of our Huggies® Nappies and Huggies® Baby Wipes packaging will be designed to be recyclable, reusable or compostable.
