Police are on the look out for a man who se.x.ually as.sulted a 1 year old on a riverside beach. Where were his parents? and who could do such a thing to a baby?

OMG! What a way to start life, poor little thing, my son is coming up to his first birthday, he hardly leaves my sight for a minute (I'm a bit addicted to him!) and if he does he is with his father or grandparents. There is one hopeful advantage, hopefully he never remembers or has any fears that arise from it. And I agree, who could do that to such a little thing, do it at all to any age I can not understand but to such innocence is even worse, they are so tiny and precious and are the furthest thing from anything that you could think of in that way.
I hope they find this man and punish to as much as the law will allow and stretch! What a disgusting act, I am also revolted.

I know it is so sad. I dont know how i would cope if something ever happened to my kids like that. Children are so trusting to adults, especially when they are that young, they cant look after themselves. i just seen the updates so im not sure of the entire story, but its still sickening to just hear a little.

I saw that briefly on the news this morning. How horrible for that poor child. My 20 mth old son was sitting with me when I saw it and I just held onto him and thought how could anyone do that to a child so innocent. Did you here about the West Aussie cop that was caught with porno pics of babies as young as 6 mths being raped? What sort of world do we live in. These men should be castrated (sp??).

Even though he wont remember, we don't know exactly how he was 'assaulted'. Hopefully there's no permanent physical damage or STDs.

It makes me ill to think that there are sickos like that out there and it's a good reminder for people to never let your kids out of sight. They are so precious and innocent.

People think I'm over the top with my daughter, but you also have to remember that in most cases, sadly, it's people that you know and you least expect. So if I'm over the top, well so be it, I'm just trying to do the best I can for my child.
hey ppl.

i just heard quickly on the news that apparently the mother saw what happended. i also cant believe it was at south bank!! when ever i go to brisbane i always make a point of going there its such a nice and safe seeming place!!!!!

some people must have seen what was happening!!!
Dear Sam,

Yes I saw briefly what had happended.

What a sicko alright..

That poor little boy.... My gosh and his mum what they all must be going through..

I never let Connor out of my sight... You just dont know who or what people are thinking...... And I am a little too protective but after hearing what happened who wouldnt be hey....

Thats just like I was thinking about putting bub into day care then I heard about all of those people (daycare owners, police, doctors and solicitors) all having child porn in there possesion...

They should all be punished as these are the people we would trust our precious little ones with....

How are we ever meant to trust any one........

I know that there are good people in these jobs but its mean, sick peopl like them that make it hard for the honest ones....

I hope that they catch this man and make him pay for what he done.....

Any way I best be off..

OMG she saw what happened and let it happen. No way!!! Firstly no-one would ever get close enough to my kids. Why didn't she jump on the guy and attack him - anything. It's amazing the strength you can find when something bad is happening. I just can't understand it.
