Diabetes during Pregnancy Lock Rss

Hi Everyone

I have a five year old daughter, Yasmine, a one year old son, Edward, and i am due on the 18th of October. I was diagnosed with diabetes in November last year. It is a real hassle as i am already on fortnightlty visits to my doctor and i have to reguarly see a diabetes specialist. I didn't realise how much diabetes afeected the baby. well I look forward to meeting more people with diabetes.

Yasmine 6, Edward 2, Jacob 5 months

I had gestational diabetes while pregnant with my first baby. I was on insulin injections x4 per day. I know it is annoying all the extra crap you have to go through. But I kept excellant control of my sugar levels and had a "non" diabetic baby who weighed in a 7lbs!! I was so pleased with myself. I have since reverted to normal sugar levels. But have been told that I will probably get the diabetes again should I have another baby.

I have a 2 year old and beautiful baby due 21/07/06. I had GD with my son and am high risk of having it again this time. I was insulin dependent to control the b/s readings last time. I have had the GTT test at 22 weeks and go to the ob. tomorrow. So I guess we will have answers then. I have a feeling that it may be positive, but we will deal with that if it arises.
I hope you are all coping with the daily grind.

2010 is going to be AWESOME!!!
