Can't Contain Excitement!!!!!!!!! Rss

I just had to tell someone that I had my 18-20 week scan yesterday and found out I'm having a baby girl!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited I had to tell someone... We're not telling anyone we know - it's our little secret - but I had to share my news with others who'd know how I'm feeling right now!

Thank you and good luck to everyone
Lisa

Take care,
Lis : )
hey tamba congrats on your little girl. I had my scan yesterday (02/03) and it was wonderful. We had decided not to find out the sex but then i thought i saw something i shouldnt have so i ended up asking and i was right. Im having a boy smile I am excited but didnt care what the sex was. Am greatful though to be having a healthy active little boy inside me smile

not to burst your bubble but they can get it wrong i would still pretend its a guess. my friend got told 100% it was a boy and it was a girl, another friend was 100% girl it was a boy and they told me i was having a boy. i sure as hell didn't.

I found out the sex of my baby before he was born too. My partner wanted to know, as we'd just bought a new house, and wanted everything to be perfect for our baby's arrival home! Next time we've decided we'll let it be a surpsise! Personally, I think it would be so much more exciting not knowing what you were going to have until you give birth! Even before the scan though, right from when I found out I was pregnant, I 'knew' we were having a little boy. It was such a strong feeling that I wasn't surprised when the person doing my ultrasound told me ... I told them I already knew:) But anyway, after all that babbling, congrats on finding out you're having a girl. I'm excited for you too!!

Hey guys,
when i got told i was having a boy they told me that when they say the gender that it can only ever be 90% accurate and htat it can never be anymore. I bear that in mind when i look at boys stuff. I dont regret finding out as the little bubs didnt really give me a choice because he spread his legs, however we buy many neutral stuff and the room is painted yellow just to be sure. Goodluck to you all

Hi Guys,

I too found out I was having a boy at the 18 week ultrasound. Neither my partner nor I could wait the full 40 weeks to know and my partner is now 100 times more excited cause he really wanted a boy (I didn't mind either way). I too was concerned about 'What if they are wrong' and asked the technician how sure she was. She said 'Well unless he changes his sex in the womb it is a boy ... see there is the evidence.'

I had a second ultrasound at 22 weeks though because they found one of his kidneys was slightly dilated in the first one. The specialist asked me if I knew what we were having and I said 'a boy??' and he said 'yes thats right.' Apparently dilated kidneys occurs mostly in baby boys with their ureter taking longer to form properly ... anyway I took that as a 100% guarantee and I am gonna be in trouble now if it is a girl cause I have been buying up big ... for a boy.

In some ways I wish I had the patience to wait for a surprise (maybe next time) but in other ways I think this way we are heaps more prepared and I like knowing what I am buying for.

Also we are finding it so difficult to agree on a name as it is, I couldn't imagine us trying to agree on a girls AND a boys name!!

Hello Lisa/Tamba,
Congratulations, that's great news. Think of all those gorgeous girlie outfits you can buy now.
And what about seeing the heartbeat? And the legs and arms moving about? And all the other wonderful things we get to see? It's very exciting.

Have fun and good luck.

Super.

It's great that you are so happy. I am 21 weeks now and I too found out I am having a girl. I was getting girl feelings anyway and then the ultrasound showed it was a girl. My daughter is very happy knowing who is growing in Mummy's belly. She's talikng to her and calling her Ella already, i think its great. We found out the sex with our first daughter too and I think it is great for bonding with your unborn baby when you can call it a name instead of just 'the baby'. Don't get me wrong though I think people who choose to not find out the sex and have it as a surprise are great too, I just couldn't do it.

Hello everybody,

I am 21 weeks pregnant and found out at my 18 week scan that I am having a boy! Thrilled to bits! We already have a beautiful baby girl now 15.5 months old and found out the sex with her too. I like knowing the sex before hand as it helps me to bond with the baby and having already picked our name we often refer to him by name. We have named him William. I too can understand why people choose not to find out, but that's just not for me.

Congrats to all the expecting mum's, goodluck with your little bubbas.

First time around I desperately wanted a girl and my husband didn't care one way or the other, we had the scan and first view I got was definitely penis! My husband was happy enough once we explained what he was seeing, and I have to say there is no way I would now swap my 15.5 month old boy for a girl. I am pregnant again, due end June 04, but this time they couldn't tell.
I am hoping for a girl this time so we have a pidgeon pair, I am carrying differently and this pregnancy has been so much harder than last time that I am still hoping. We have names for both options, but have started calling the baby Sarah, as I got so fed up with calling her (I hope) "the baby"! If it's a boy will be Ian. My husbands parents would love a granddaughter too as they already have 3 grandsons!
