help and/or advice needed Lock Rss

I am pregnant for the second time i am 37 weeks today. Last week i was in hospital for false labour, In the past 3 days i have been getting labour pains again all day, but worse at night.
(I was induced with my first so i am unsure on how it all works.)
If any one has any ideas or advice on how to get the labour going that would be great..
Hi Alecia

It worked wonders for me, though everyone is different. Either get hubby to do it or do it while reading a book.....(it's actually quite boring !!)
You need to do it for 20 minutes as many times a day as you can.
I went into labour the next morning after doing it a couple of times the day before.

The other thing is have an orgasm.......(sorry, bit rude !), it makes the uterus contract like nothing on earth and may just be the thing to push you over the line....

Anyway, hope SOMETHING works for you, as it sounds like your body is trying to get ready....a little help may be all that is needed.

All the best

Hi Alecia,

I thing i can only say one word to u @ the moment: R E L A X !!!!!! i know the labour part is the most agonising part because you dont know what is going to happen, but i know thats the one thing you need to do!!!!

In 35 weeks on thursday and the specialist already said that im going to be induced @ 38 weeks. Im taking things as it comes, but more importantly; im relaxing!!!!

May be the best thing for you @ the moment is the get something you love to do like reading or craft work. Something to get the labour part off ur mind and do that for a few hours. kick your feet back and take your mind off things. I know the baby is going to kick you heaps. Im still @ work and she has been hitting me all day!!!! and they are very painful i tell you!!!! Everytime i walk i always feel that i have a tonne of bricks in my stomach.

Ill be thinking of you in the next few weeks smile

DD, VIC baby due soon

Hi Alecia,

I was induced with my first son when my waters broke a week before he was due, so exactly like you I didn't know what to expect and got anxious when my second son didn't come early.
I too had false labour pains and then went naturally 4 days after he was due. Once in labour i could tell the difference, and I also got a show.
I took raspberry leaf tea for about two weeks before he was born, i am sure this helped in some way, i did get a discharge for about 1 week before and the midwife kept telling me it would happen soon before this was a sign and my cervix was getting ready.
I had a lot of trouble towards the end of my pregnancy so anything was worth a try, the tea can't hurt the baby.

Good luck, let us know how you go.

have sex something in the semen brings on labour.

I have been told having sex can bring on labour!! A bit personal, but just take it easy if you decide to do it. I tried with my first pregnancy and I don't think it helped... but hubby sure enjoyed it!!! My daughter was born one day late after I was induced for not progressing after 2 days if labour pains.

I am pregnant with my 2nd baby and hope to go into natural labour this time round... fingers crossed!

Good luck with your labour and delivery smile

I know sex works because we did it the night before I went into labour and my daughter was born 4 weeks early.

No sex with the next one.
