Gestational diabetes/induction & born before induction Rss

Hi all.
I am 35 weeks and have been booked in today for an induction at 38weeks.
Has anyone had this but had baby early?

Just curious.
I know this was 3 months ago so it will properly not help. But yes I also delivered at 38 weeks due to gestational diabetes. I was having tightening so baby was on its way any way. But due to my faulty cervix a c section was needed.
I know this is an old post but yes, I too was induced at 38 weeks due to gestational diabetes. Bub was fine and healthy but in all honesty I don't think he was ready to come when he was forced out! I had a really long labour (15 hrs) and during the second stage of labour (pushing stage) he didnt want to come out, he was stuck! I ended up having an assisted delivery with vacuum extraction, not very nice at all. It left superficial markings on bubs head, very bad ones, it was even bleeding. I don't think I want to be induced again due to my experiance. I've had 2 natural births and the 1st one was spontaneous and much easier and less painful. Second time around being induced wasnt so easy!
