Due Sept 2012 Lock Rss

Mel, that's excting, first little item to put away. And your right still so much more to get.

Well Sunday is nearly over and I'm a little excited as this week starts as I have my 1st scan on Thursday, I will be 7wks 3days!

Not sure of any one else has had this or just me. Twice since I found out i have been pregnant I have been really sick after eating my dinner. Not throwing up just really bloated and full. First time was fish and salad and last night again after steak salad and potato bake. My goodness i felt I was about 25wks pregnant my stomach was that bloated.I did feel starving before I ate and thought maybe i ate too quick? Far out all I know is I don't want it to happen again that's for sure.

Anyway I'm off will check in later in the week after my scan.

I have learnt that I have to eat little & often. If I am staving then I feel sick & I will feel sick after eating too. I also feel sick when I eat too much.

Good luck with the scan, everything will be peachy
i have been getting the same thing feeling sick after dinner but not throwing up, its weird and annoying.

we went baby shopping today too DP and I.
i was like a kid in a candy store but i got the impression he was a bit overwhelmed.

i chose the baby bag and pram i want though so thats 2 less things to think about smile
Hi everyone,

Are you doing the 1st trimester screening? I am unsure whether or not to do the screen, as I would not have an abortion if the results were positive.

2nd-10th time mum's, did you have the screen during your last pregnancies? Were the results helpful?

Thanks

I will be having the 12 week combined screening, so that I can prepare if something isn't right, do my research & make sure I have everything in place to support bubs & me. Rather than having a mad panic once I get home from hospital.
Wow, you busy bees, lots of reading for me to catch up on here! I did read through everyones posts but sorry if I forget to mention someone.

Welcome to the new comers smile

Bronwyn - I will be having the 12 week scan like I did with my first pregnancy for the same reasons as Kat.

Page - I hope the spotting stays away!

as for me... I had about 4 days where I couldn't eat much at all. Just the thought of eating anything would make me feel like vomiting. But the last two days I have been fine again and not really feeling nauseous at all so hopefully it stays that way!!! Apart from that just sore boobs on and off but they aren't too bad. I remember them being their worse at 9 weeks last time.

I hope everyone is keeping a pregnancy diary. I have dug out my old one from my first pregnancy and I love love love reading it and looking at all the photos. I started one for this pregnancy the week I found out I was pregnant. I write in it at least once a week and put how far along I am, my weight, fundus height (later on) and put in pictures from all my ultrasounds and my pregnancy sticks and pics of my growing belly. Its a great keepsake!

hi all,
so everything seems to be smoothly going for this little jellybean at almost 7weeks i have had enough morning sickness to last a lifetime
it really is horrible. Any home remedies anybody would like to share it would be much appreciated and has any one had such awful morning sickness with their 2nd or 3rd pregnancies? My son was a dream to be carrying, and i guess i proved myself right when i said jokingly that the next child would be not so easy
i have a scan at then end of the month which for me and probably most of you can't come quick enough
please add me on face book courtney hayden my profile pic is a gorgeous little boy in a spidey man outfit.

hi girls! I have been a ghost on Huggies since the Facebook group started! Oops!

So, how is everyone travelling? We are at 9wks 4days today! Going quickly thank goodness! STill worried about the lack of morning sickness, and my bbs have stopped aching. I have been having a fair bit of (not sure how to explain it) 'pulling' near my pelvis. Hoping that is stretching!

3 weeks today to our 12wk scan, cant wait!

Been having a cruddy lower back ache lately, kind of like a pinched nerve sensation. Going to a Chiropractor tomorrow, so hopefully can get some insight!

I was naughty and put a layby on today... Not planning on picking it up for a while, hopefully everything is going well inside! I do need suggestions for down the track on high chairs and bouncers please!

grin Take care!

Ugh zyre... sounds like you have it real bad. I'm at throw up point 24/7 but thank god I'm not ACTUALLY throwing up. Mind you, I wonder if I'd feel better if I did!
In terms of remedies, the only things I have found that have worked is that I have to eat often. I alternate between a snack and a mini main meal every hour, so there's always something in my stomach. The food never makes me feel better, but certainly better than if I eat nothing at all. And the only food that I find really knocks out the morning sickness for a bit is salt and vinegar chips. My eyes are watering so bad when I eat them!! I have this god awful taste in my mouth all the time, and the vinegar nearly kills me, but at least it gives me a little bit of relief. Maybe give it a try if you can get them down and see if that helps? The only other thing I find is savoy biccies the minute I wake up. I find I have a window of about 5 minutes to eat before that horrible sickie feeling hits so I munch and crunch in bed. My fiance loves it!!! Not!!

Hope that helps anyone out. Its so bloody awful MS. I wouldnt wish it on anyone!!

I've got my second scan tomorrow. FX we're still sticky!!!

Welcome to all our newcomers!!
I agree with Purplepossum, eat little & often. I never have more than a bread a butter sized plate.
I'm due for my first scan tomorrow morning and need your help.

When I made the appt they explained that I had to go to the toilet 2 hours before the appt and then drink 400ml of water.

My questions are;

Does it matter if I drink more then 400ml ? And can I eat breakfast before hand ?

As you can tell this is my first pregnancy and I have LOTS to learn smile

They told me I have to drink a whole litre of water!!!

The reason they want you to drink water it because you're early in your pregnancy, so they need your bladder to be full so that they can see the baby more clearly. It's really hard to hold the water for that long, and then they go and press the ultrasound machine on your full bladder laugh

You can definitely have breakfast before you go, food doesn't effect the scan at all.

How exciting to ba going for a scan tomorrow! I have to wait another 10 days for mine.
Enjoy smile

I've never been told to have a drink before any of my scans. And actually, at the last scan I had, she told me to go to the toilet just before she started. I wonder if it matters too now?
