sleeping thru - when one won't Lock Rss

I have twin 12 month old girls. The "eldest" has never slept through the night. She still has a feed anywhere from midnight to 4 am and sometimes won't go back to sleep for quite some time, wanting to play. Other parents have suggested that we leave her her to cry in her cot and she will eventually stop wanting a feed. Unfortunately with her twin in the same room this is not possible.

Any suggestions to break this habit please?

Hi,

I suggest you follow the settling techniques for 6 to 12month old in the Your Baby’s Sleep section. These techniques are not just about letting a baby cry it out, they give a clear and repetitive message that it’s time to sleep. I suggest that you separate the babies for a short time while you get the program working.

Cheers Maree
