How do I get my baby girl to sleep through the night Lock Rss

Hi there,

my 3 month old breastfed baby daughter has no problem settling to sleep....however she wakes every 2 - 3 hrs during the night presumably for a feed or reassurance.

She also likes to sleep a fair bit during the day - say 3-4 hrs x 2.

Can you give me any tips to help her sleep through the night. It is getting hard for us due to lack of sleep. Also when is a reasonable age to expect her to sleep through the night.

many thanks,
At 3 months you would expect to giving one overnight feed and after 6 months if she is not sleeping through you could try a rollover feed. For any other wakings you could try resettling her with our settling techniques.
You can get an overview of our settling program from the <a href=" Baby’s Sleep</a> section of the Huggies site or for more detail, and a visual demonstration, from <a href="It&#39;s time to sleep&lt;/a" />It's Time To Sleep</a> DVD&BOOK.

Cheers Maree
