Self Settling Lock Rss

My baby is almost 4.5 months.

During the day I have to rock him to settle/sleep - it generally works in under 5 minutes. He goes to the cot sucking his dummy and then he falls asleep.

During the night I feed him and put him in his cot very tired and he falls asleep.

I am concerned he is relying on me rocking, his dummy or a feed to go to sleep. How can I get him to self settle to sleep?

His naps in the day are often short 45 minutes & I think he is waking up still tired, but I can't get him back to sleep.

Hi,
Rocking can become a sleep association and if you want to try our settling techniques instead You can get an overview of our settling program from the <a href=" https://www.huggies.com.au/BeingAParent/YourBab... Baby’s Sleep</a> section of the Huggies site or for more detail, and a visual demonstration, from <a href="It&#39;s time to sleep&lt;/a" />It's Time To Sleep</a> DVD&BOOK.
