Hernia during pregnancy Lock Rss

I have been told I have a hernia right near my navel and am just wondering if this will affect childbirth at all? When I think back I could have possibly had it with my first pregnancy also. I am 28 weeks pregnant and started feeling associated pain for about five weeks. How soon after birth will it need to be fixed? Thanks

My little lovlies are Jack and Lily

Hi,
Thank you for your enquiry. If your hernia is not causing any major problems it is best to wait at least six weeks following birth so that your body has had time to return to a pre-pregnancy state and recover.
Best wishes,
Alex.
