Thank you for your enquiry. Cramps in the legs are quite common in pregnancy. It is a good idea to try to raise your legs when sitting and if a cramp occurs – to stretch the limb. That is to straighten your leg and flex your toes towards your body. Try to also have a healthy diet and include foods with potassium, such as bananas, and drink plenty of water as this may prevent the cramps. Cramps should have no effect on your labour.
