vitamins Lock Rss

Hi, I'm breastfeeding a 16 month, old just 2 times a day & usually just one side & I'm 3 months pregnant. I'm taking 3 blackmores pregnancy & breastfeeding vitamins but is that enough. I'm wondering if I should be taking folate too? Are there any other vitamins that I should be taking? Thanks
Thank you for your enquiry. If you have a healthy diet, containing all food groups, and you have no pre-existing problems, such as anaemia, there is no need to take supplements during pregnancy. There is a recommendation to ensure that your folate intake is adequate for the month before you fall pregnant and for the first three months of your pregnancy. You can continue to breast feed you older child during pregnancy and even when the new baby is born. Your body adjusts very well. You may want to discuss your diet with your health care professional to check that your iron and calcium intake is adequate.
Best wishes,
