What Books to read to a 3 1/2 month old Girl Rss

Hi Brett and Belinda,
My name is Bridget and I have a 3 1/2 month old little girl called Emma. I was wondering what sort of books should I start with as I am wanting to make reading a part of her daily routine. She is a very smily happy girl and a chatterbox. I myself loves to read and I am hoping she will to. Can yoy give me some clues?
Thanks Bridget
Dear Bridget
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. It's been a busy week.

Thanks for your email. All the experts say it's never too early to start reading to a child, so it's wonderful that you're sharing books with Emma already. At this age, Emma will respond most to your voice as well as to colourful pictures. So make sure you put lots of expression into your reading and share some of the simple, brightly-coloured books for babies. In particular, we recommend the Maisy series by Lucy Cousins and the Whose Tail? etc books by Jeanette Rowe. Both series use primary colours, bold lines and simple text. And with Maisy, Emma will soon learn to recognise the character of Maisy and all her friends.

Best wishes
Belinda & Brett
