Should he be weight bearing at 5 mths Lock Rss

My DS is 5 months today and when I hold him in a standing position on my lap he does not seem to weight bear on his legs, is this normal for a 5 mth old? We tried him in the jolly jumper yesterday, although he liked it he does not seem to know how to use his legs.

my bub is 5 months old and does the same thing.i think this is completly normal they are still little legs to bear such a weight

Lillie....1 year old!!!

As with everything to do with development it is SO different for all babies. My first son was bearing weight on his legs before 3mths old and just wanted to stand (supported) all the time, but Jayden couldn't until he was around 6mths old (so just recently). Ryan was jumping in the JJ at 3mths, Jayden has only just started at 6mths. I wouldn't be worrying at all, he sounds perfectly normal smile
