Parties and Celebrations, Just for fun
There’s no better way to celebrate toilet training success than a toast to your child’s accomplishments.
Do you have a toilet training achievement to celebrate? If so, then it’s time to get out the fancy cups and bubbly. There’s no better way to celebrate than a toast to your child’s accomplishments.
When your child successfully uses the toilet, lavish him or her with praise. Follow through with important steps like wiping and washing hands, and then head for the kitchen. Place a small amount of your chosen beverage in the party glasses. (A couple swigs is fine here – just enough for a toast. Remember, if this activity works to motivate your child, you’ll be drinking this beverage more than once a day.) Have you child sit down next to you so that you can be nearby in order to help with the toast. Start by saying a few words about the occasion and how proud you are of your child’s accomplishment. Next, teach your child to raise his or her glass and gently tap it to yours. Finally, yell, “Cheers!” to toast your child’s achievement, grown-up-style!
