summary:
Try this bit of crafty recycling to make your child a Touch & Feel book. It’s great for their development, and easy and lightweight to tuck in your bag for outings.

Equipment:
Scrap paper, or exercise book or notepad. Glue, sticky tape. Various everyday items from around the house.
Directions:
This is a touch and feel book my son and I made. We have found everyday materials from around the house and have pasted them into a book. My son loves to sit on my lap and go through this wonderful (and cheaply made) book!
Try using string, doilies, cupcake patties, toothpicks, cling wrap, foil, cellophane, fur, leaves, lolly wrappers, etc. You could write the name of the item on each page, or draw around each item to help give it more context (i.e. draw a bear under the fur, or cupcake inside the cupcake patties).
