My Very Own Christmas Tree
Age: toddler, child
Skill for Bub: Hand/eye coordination, Just for fun, Making memories, Parties celebration
Children create a special tree all on their own.
Who says the star should go on top instead of a pink heart? Children get to use their creativity to decorate their tree in any shape or form they wish. Cut a tree shape out of oak tag (available at craft stores). Offer your child a display of ornaments to choose from by cutting out a variety of shapes from different coloured sheets of construction paper and fabrics. Allow her to drape the tree in tinsel, beads, and other holiday decorations. Once the layout has been determined, help your child glue down the pieces of his custom-designed tree.
