gestational diabetes delivery of bub Lock Rss

Hi All
I have just been diagnosed with gestational diabetes and was wondering weather they take you early or let you go to 40 weeks before bub is delivered i am currently 31 weeks. I have just started to control my diet but was told that if i get more than two high readings a week i would have to do insulin injections.I go to the doctors clinic in two weeks time.

I had GD when I was preggers & had more than 2 high readings a wk. But I ended up going thru my pregnancy with just diet control & no insulin. They would do a scan at around 36 wks to see size of babies. The reason they might take you in early is that most mums with GD have big babies. But mine was only 5.9lbs at birth so there goes that theory. So if baby is big then you mite need a c-section.
