Omega-3 safe or not Rss

I am in my 35th Week and feeling a little low in nutrition i wanted to ask that is it safe to consume Omega-3 at this stage.
This is nice, I found something of interest here
I presume you are asking this question because pregnant women are told to avoid large ocean fish like tuna, mackerel, etc. This precaution is to reduce the risk of ingesting mercury. Pregnant women are also told to avoid raw seafood and rare meats. This is to protect them from bacteria that might remain without thoroughly cooking the meat. Omega 3 is commonly referred to as “fish oil” because large ocean fish contain lots of this oil from eating algae. Some omega 3 supplements are derived directly from Algae. Whether Omega 3 supplements are sourced from fish or algae they should be monitored for threshold levels of contaminants like mercury or harmful bacteria before they are processed and packaged as supplements. Consequently, the “big fish” concerns during pregnancy don’t apply to fish-derived supplements.

Hello! Research has confirmed that adding EPA and DHA to the diet of pregnant women has a positive effect on the visual and cognitive development of the baby. Studies have also shown that higher consumption of omega-3s may reduce the risk of allergies in infants. Omega-3 fatty acids have positive effects on the pregnancy itself.Good luck!

Best wishes, World Center of Baby
