- theme Circus/Carnival
Our first born, little Henry, is now three years old, and we decided it was time to move him out of the calm baby ‘nursery’ that he shared with his younger brother, and into some FUN!!
White painted walls provide the perfect canvas for any kids room if you ask me – they allow the bright and vibrant colours of toys, games and books on display, to do all the work dressing up the room!
We splurged on an ultra fun circus tent for our imaginative preschooler’s new room (which has been a real hit with our 20 month old toddler as well), but over all, this was a budget decorating job, with a bit of sentiment thrown in….
From the cheap do-it-yourself wall shelves, to the hand-me-down chest of drawers brought back to life with new paint and new handles; and the inexpensive and gorgeous bunting flags by Hiccups, to the vintage Dick Bruna wall frieze (which my beautiful mum passed on to me, having held on to it since I was a toddler!) this room is full of life, love, and most of all FUN!! My boys love it, and therefore, so do I!
