Fun & Bright Baby Girl Room

When decorating my daughters room, I wanted it to be special and unique so I found fabric that was fun and bright and bold and made curtains from that material and based my theme around that. The idea behind going for bold and bright was how babies focus on contrast and shapes and as she’s gotten older (8 months now) I can see how interested she is over time in the bright images of apples, ducks, flowers etc found in the pattern. As my first ever sewing project, it was really special to me to make something for her, and with my confidence in sewing I even made a pillow to match. As my eldest child was a boy and we had a barnyard theme for his nursery, we were able to re-use most items, such as all furniture, and the lamp, mobile and cane storage baskets. I like the space in the room, it’s workable layout and general happy vibe we get as we spend time together in her room.
