Hi Alex, my baby boy is 6 weeks old and I was wondering when is the best time to start trying to get him into a sleep routine? And how do I do this? He is all over the place at the moment, sometimes 3-4 hours in the morning some mornings then suddenly he only sleeps for maybe 1 and half to 2 hours. At night he mostly sleeps for 2 hours at a time then wakes for a feed/nappy change. I am breastfeeding. He is sleepy for a few minutes after a feed and then decides it`s time to be awake. It then takes me sometimes up to an hour and half to get time back to sleep again. This is not fun in the wee hours of the morning.
I have tried to lie him down to sleep when he shows signs of being tired but he refuses to sleep and screams until I pick him up for a cuddle (and some peace and quiet). I don`t know what to do. What can you suggest?
Debbie
