He said something about there being a `split in the fetal heart rate line`

HI, I just had a scan at 8 weeks. everything looks fine and the heart rate was 154bpm. But He said something about there being a `split in the fetal heart rate line` or something simular. Could you tell me what this means?

Answer: Hi,
I am sorry but I am not sure what this term is referring to. The normal heart rate for a baby at 8 weeks is between 120 – 160 beats per minute. You need to ask the person that attended the scan or at your next appointment where the report will be so that they can read it for you.
