Hi Alex,
I`m nearly 10 weeks pregnant, first time mum to be. I didn`t find out until I was about 7 weeks because through the whole pregnancy I have bled badly. A week ago I had a big huge sack come out of me with lots of blood clots. I had an ultrasound a few days ago & the baby was moving around a lot & turning, its heart is beating & it seems fine, but I`m still left with a nervous feeling.
I`ve just been concerned about what it was that came out of me? I`m experiencing bad stomach cramps & am bleeding off & on. My doc says it`s nothing to be concerned about but it still concerns me. I`m 22 & this is my first pregnancy. I`ve also been experiencing terrible sickness all hours of day/night. I can feel the baby moving in me ALREADY! I`m getting really fat & in the last week I have popped out considerably.
Am I just being over paranoid? should I get another opinion?
The doctor said that the sack looking thing that came out of me was probably just a clot I`ve had inside of me growing for some time & the baby has come along & pushed it out for some room. Does this sound right?
My girlfriend is 13 weeks along & I am tons bigger than her in the stomach, you can`t even tell she is pregnant yet, I look like 5months pregnant! :-s should I be worried about me being so big?
Thanks Alex,
Renee
Thank you for your enquiry. If you have had a scan then you should be fairly sure of your dates. The sac if it was red would have been a blood clot that can sit in the uterus for some time before being expelled. More than likely a small end of the placenta has not stuck properly to the uterus and this is what is causing the bleeding. The blood that you are losing is your blood and not the baby’s. It is very normal to feel nervous, especially if you are experiencing complications. If you are overly concerned then it is advisable to seek another opinion.
Best wishes,
Alex
