Does implanon contraception cause bleeding in all women?
I have recently had a baby and was thinking of using implanon as contraception and i read somewhere that it can cause you to have alot of bleeding and that some women can bleed the whole time its in.. does this happen regularly or is it only the odd few.. i don`t want to get it if this is going to happen?

Answer:
Hi,
Implanon is a safe and effective contraception if used as advised. It needs to be implanted correctly and with advice as to the side effects and conditions of use. The side effects can cause problems in some women but they can be reversed with removal of the implant. Talk to your local Family Planning Australia centre as these are the experts.
Best wishes,
Alex
