summary:
A large moving box becomes your child’s special play space.
Don’t throw away that moving box just yet. Make a comfy-cozy little house that your child will love to play in instead. Use a hobby knife to cut out windows and a door. Use gift wrap as wallpaper. Cover the bottom of the box with a blanket to make it a comfortable environment for your child to play in and use as a “reading” nook. (This will help boost her imaginative play skills and her ability to play solitarily.)
Invite Big Sibs: Encourage sibling interaction by making a “house” for each of your children. Talk with them about other “buildings” there might be in their “town”: a post office (complete with Mum and Dad’s junk mail), a grocery store (stocked with fake food), etc.
