HELP. Child proofing tv
My partner has brought a new TV, I am a bit worried of the kids pushing it over in the tv cabinet or pulling it on themselves. Can anyone tell me where I can get some form of a mounting strap or simular? Tv is still in its box at the moment would be nice to get it sorted so we can use it.
You can get wall brackets but they are pretty costly.
Our friends recently bought a 60" flat screen and were worried about the same thing so they brought a wall bracket for $200 or $300 and my partner but it up for them.
That TV is not going anywhere smile

Hi There,
I looked on ebay and Google and there a a few different safety devices for TV's to stop them falling on children. Some are designed to fix the TV to the wall and there are some you can fix the TV to the back of the TV cupboard.
Most i found were under $30.00.
Well worth the money
Like Lisa said, I bought flat-screen TV safety straps that bolt into the back of the TV where you would put the mounting brackets, then you can screw the straps to the back of your TV cabinet or into the wall. Because we rent, we screwed them into the TV cabinet. They are fantastic and I highly recommend them.
I bought mine on eBay - here's a link to the exact ones I bought. They're the Dreambaby brand and I've seen that brand of safety products in specialist baby shops too if you have one in your area. They cost me $17.95 plus the postage costs.
I hope that helps!
