Fiji- 1st overseas holiday with 1 and 3 yr old Rss

Hi everyone I need some help on what to pack for 1 an 3 yr old for 8 nts at outrigger in Fiji??? How many Nappies approx, I know I wil forget something necessary ideas pls!!!! Thanks in advance k
As a rule we pack 8 nappies a day just to be sure. If you want to save on packing space just pack 6- you can buy nappies in Fiji!

We stayed at outrigger on the lagoon in 2009 for our first o's holiday and loved it except our holiday ended with a huge cyclone and flooding cutting us off from everywhere!!

Fiji is beautiful, you will have a great time smile

Thank you:)
We went to the Outrigger in November and had a ball. The kids loved it and spent every minute in the pool. We packed 1 packet of swimming nappies for the 1 year old which was plenty and around 6 nappies per day. The nappies over there are not fantastic but will do in an emergency. There is a little shop in the resort which is a bit pricy but has the essentials. Suncream (we took 2 paks and used both) and hats and swimmers and thats it!

We had a car to take us from the airport which cost us $40FD. We requested car seat for the kids because we didnt want the kids riding in the bus (it takes about 1 and half hours from the airport and you have to stop at all the resorts on the way) Well worth the money and it also ment that on the way home we could leave the resort a bit later than the 4.30am that everyone else had to.

FOod wise in the mornings we usually took a banana and a muffin from the buffet for the kids for morning tea and they have a kids buffet for lunch every day (which was free) The pizza resturant there is fantastic but make sure you book as eary as possible. The themed resturant is good too but some of the nights were not really to our taste and not worth the price. We ate off the resort a few nights. If you walk down to the beach and turn right you will come to a road. WARNING do not eat at the first two places!!!! TERRIBLE FOOD but there is a little shop there to get supplies. Further up the road are a few nice places to eat (1 of them is a small hotel which is good food and good price)

The kids club is excellent. I have never left my kids with anyone other than family so was a bit nervous but my 3 year old loved the kids club (especially the ice cream eating and the disco night) and the nannies we got for the 1 year old were fantastic. SHe loved them. I recommend sending them when they go tto the eco park as they get better access and the kids get to pat some of the aninmals. The nanny was very inexpensive and was lovely to have 1 night for us to go up for sunset drinks (beautiful) and then to the fancy restaurnt for a grown up dinner (also beautiful and some lovely time together)

We didnt pack many clothes. We did a little shopping trip to town and brought a few dresses (all up 7 dresses for the girls and I) for around $50 AUS. We didnt buy in the shop they drop you off in but just up the road is a few little shops (not alot but Fiji is not a shopping place) The Sigatoga river safari is well worth the trip too. They take you into a working village for lunch and a kava ceremony. The kids had a ball dancing with the village kids and the ladies took the 1 year old, fed her and played with her like she was one of their own. They put us on a different boat on the way home as they do lots of spins and things in the fast boats and i am also pregnant so we had a lovely easy ride back

The people are fantastic and make you feel so welcome. They love kids and all work on the motto that it takes a village to raise a child and treat your children like their own. You will have a such a great time.

Enjopy at least 1 session at the spa. It is worth every cent! Have a great time
