we have some good friends who came to stay for a few days at our place with their 2 kids. had a great time, kids get on well, love their company etc etc

now the bit that was weird was when they left, kiss the kids goodbye, hugs and all that but when i gave my friends DF a hug goodbye and when youd generally expect an air kiss or half kiss on the cheek..i got on on the neck? like a lingering one blink huh

id say he simply missed because of the hight difference but it seemed deliberate and ive been feeling really guilty ever since even tho i did nothing..literally.

am i just over reacting?

Lol sorry had to laugh a little because I hate how awkward it can be sometimes in those situations. I usually avoid kissing other DP/DH's etc altogether because its usually just awkward but sometimes its just unavoidable.

Hmmm ... it's a bit weird but as you say, the height difference could explain it. Also, some people are just really uncomfortable in situations where they're saying goodbye to people and aren't really sure whether a kiss on the cheek or whatever is appropriate, and they might make slightly awkward movements, so it could have been something to do with that as well.

Anyway, I think you should try to forget about it ... you definitely shouldn't feel guilty! It wasn't your fault!

I'd just let it go and if he never does anything like that again then I'd just put it down to an awkward movement. Of course if he tries anything else on then that's different ...

I dont even know how i'd handle it lol Think id try to forget to about it cos its one of things...you say something to your gf, she gets mad at you, say something to your DH, he might get mad at the DF and ruin friendships etc.. or you say something to the DF and he laughs it off (cos its easy to pretend it was an accident etc...)

Yeah I am the same, I have two close male friends (both also close to DH) actually they are his adoptive brothers.

One time I hadn't seen one for months and months (none of us had) and I saw him in the shops and I ran up to him and gave him a big hug and a kiss and I didn't know that his GF was there too and he was all awkard... When we get home DH and his friends (who are friends with him and were there at the time) had a good laugh at my expense and laughed about the look his GF gave me (they don't like her). Next time we saw him he was there too and didn't hug or kiss me.. But the time after that he did... Even on my wedding she was there he didn't sad

Thats y we dont kiss other ppl really im not even a big hugger either.... but each to their own I guess.

hmm i dont 'think' so. weve known these guys for a couple of years and hes never shown any interest other then that of a normal friend. hes a very affectionate guy in general but a kiss on the neck?..still feel weird huh i did catch him watching me alot but i didnt think anything of it, its the first time theyve actually stayed at ours for any length of time so i figured that he was just veging out watching how we do things (as you do in someone elses house)

same age as my DF (yes were not married, i know i say DH all the time because im in denial that we havnt finally tied the knot yet lol)

I try to not hug or kiss anyone apart from hubby and the kids cause i always feel strange huggging other people but unfortunately all my family are very affectionate lol

yeah your prob right, im stressing myself over nothing. but i think ill pay a bit more attention when we see them next and if he shows any other signs of interest ill have to have a chat with him and nip it in the butt before he does/trys to do anything stupid
