Finally, after 58 days AF appears to have arrived! woohoooo!!!! I took the provera for 7 days and then it took another 7 days. So hopefully I begin my very first cycle with clomid tomorrow, fingers crossed!

Hi all, count me in! We are looking at ttc #2 in the next few months. I was diagnosed with PCOS 2 years ago. Cycle length anywhere from 6-18 months. After ttc for 4 years, we managed to fall pregnant naturally with DD1 (total fluke). Had tried 5 rounds of clomid previously but never ovulated.

Looking forward to hearing other peoples' journeys during this difficult and emotionally-challenging time.

YAY for AF arriving LOL purple! 58 days that is annoying. Hopefully this cycle will be shorter....and also you won't get another AF cause this will be your lucky month. FX lots of baby dust your way gasp)

Same same here...just awaiting for ovulation to come. No signs of anything yet. CM is completely MIA so i hope this is not a bad thing and mean this month is a write off...will wait and see i guess

I know the feeling jdmum, i was waiting all last weekend hoping and hoping for ovulation to come but no luck but would you believe i think i may have O'd like tues or wed and my DF was away at work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I took the ov test and two lines came up and i was getting pains and cm and he wasnt around to take advantage of this. This is one of the rare rimes that i have actually 'felt' myself ovulating and im hoping it might be a positive sign because by my records its a lot earlier in the cycle then what i usually guess it as being. So hopefully the vitex maye starting to regulate my cycles!!
Soo i think i have missed it this cycle, but will keep trying just in case.

ok girls im back.... hopefully i can keep up with this thread. I have over 200 emails to catch up on from other threads.
I finally got my af after months of it not being here (feb) I have been doing my temps, maybe baby and now have the ebay ov tests. All which is showing that im not ovulating.
My poor hubby last week, as i thought i was in middle of cycle (for someone on an average cycle) I would bd every night or at least every 2nd night.... only to find out Im not ov yet.
When should i see a gyno, i would really love to start either provera or clomid asap..... I concieved my last baby in 2wks of trying. This time we havent used contraception for last 12months but technically been TTC from start of year, and yet nothing happening

Ok so i just thought i would drop in. I have just had a big cry and feeling really down. This is my first cycle of taking my temps and towards end of AF they were quite low then round CD 8 they spiked. Fertility friend says that it shows i ovulated around CD8-CD11. I have been awaiting for ovulation to hit so when i read this today i stressed out. We only BD once round that time and i didn't focus on staying in bed (sorry TMI coming) holding the sperm in etc etc. As i would have never thought i would ovulate this early. there were absolutely no other signs of ovulation. So now i am thinking that once again this is another month down the drain. Then to top it off a friend phoned just before to tell me she fell pregnant first time trying so here i am crying again. Why does it have to be so hard!!!

hey darl, just curious, do you have varying cycle lengths.. including some short cycles? and have your temps remained elevated since they went up?


and dont stress too much about not holding it in etc. the one that got me pregnant was a quickie while the kids were having tea!!! so all my efforts to retain as much as possible, werent needed in the end!

The shortest cycle has ever been is 30 days. Temps have stayed fairly up just been consistent. Will try post my graph tomo. Trying not to stress over it but I just dontknow how many more bfn I can see anymore. Sorry for being so negative just having a really bad day

ok i wouldnt think a LP could be that long... keep an eye on temps, if it wasnt a huge rise, then there is a chance you still havent ov'd. just make sure you dont forget to BD, cause if you have had a smaller rise, then there is a possibility that you could have had cooling hormones in the first week of cycle. LP is rarely longer than 16days. just keep watching and see what happens with it... good luck!!!

and believe me, i know how you feel with the down days, and bfn's i went thru nearly 2 years of it, and looking back i have no idea how i did it!!

my usual temp shifts were about half a degree. hth!

I’ve been very busy making invites for my engagement party! Lol we got properly engaged in Feb but have been unofficially engaged for a few years but are only just getting our act together! I rang the gyno today to get an appointment as I still don’t have AF (day 49) with BFN’s but I can’t get in til 26th! I might give them a call next week and try to get in a bit earlier...

Purple: Yay for AF! I’m like you, I can’t wait til she gets here and get back in the game... Have you had any side effects from the Clomid? I didn’t notice any in my first cycle but have been VERY moody the other three!

Kylie: Sorry that you missed OV this month! Hopefully next month will get you BFP!!

JDmum: Don’t have any advice for you as I have never temped or used OV strips. Fingers crossed that FF got a bit confused and will apologise to you when you really do OV! (sorry, I’m in a strange mood!)

Amy: Hope that your scan went well! Did you get any pictures?

I dunno what to do. I havent started on the clomid yet cos AF hasnt shown up properly. I have had what I think may be a very light/slow bleed for the past 3 days, but im really stuck between knowing if it is AF or just spotting. It seems alot more different to my usual spotting though, even though there is only a small amount and it is very dark, brownish and blackish in colour. I am spose to start clomid day 2, so now I am on to day 3 with this weird kind of bleeding and I am starting to worry that AF wont come properly. What would you ladies do if you were in this situation? Do you think I should start the clomid, or keep waiting and possibly miss AF altogether if it stays light. Arrrgghhhh, why cant it be more simple?!

Hey Purple...so sorry don't have any good advice because i am unfamiliar with chlomid. Hope someone gives you some good advice gasp)But i agree it really should be much simpler. Our bodies should work much easier.

Update with me...haven't been able to post my chart couldn't work out how lol. But i have been using go28days.com and a lady on there who is apprently really experienced at charting looked at it and suggested that i may have a triphasic cycle/chart and so there is still hope for me lol. So CM was completely MIA till yesterday when finally had teeny tiny bit. Was more cloudy. Today have little bit that is clearer and sticky but not lots and not EWCM. Have been using ebay OPK and get nothing at all on them except control line. Brought forelife sticks today and i got a faint line. Not as dark as control but faint line. Maybe Baby shows part ferning..just. So i am hoping FXFXFX that this means i am leading into ovulation. Cervic was still medium low but starting to feel maybe just slightly open. i really hopes this means ovulation is happening for me this cycle and that i BD today and will continue for next few days lol that i catch that darn egg!!!!

DH & I have two gorgeous children; DS 3(on saturday!) and DD is 18mths. We have been TTC #3 for 14mths now since August 2008 and no luck. I am seeing my gyno next month for the first time and will be put on clomid. According to my GP i have no problems like PCOS or anything just after doing a million blood tests Im not ovulating.

DH would be happy with our two we already have but i just dont feel complete. He is very supportive towards having another one but sometimes i can see how hard it is on him too watching me get so down on myself all the time.

AF arrives anywhere from 28 - 45 days has been my longest so far. Every month I think to myself maybe this is it maybe this month only to find another BFN. I have stopped buying HPT's only because i hate the disappointment every "month".

ANyway I look forward to sharing this journey with you all and getting to know everyone!

hey all you ttcs, i just want to send some good luck vibes your way and let you know that i think you are all inspiring !!!!! of topic but last year had baby at 27 weeks and spent a very long time in nicu with her, i found it very upsetting to see people with there full termys and when this happened i would remind myself that there are people out there that cannot have children or have a huge battle to concieve. and that these people would consider me lucky....
my daughter is now healthy and happy and you would never know she was only 1 pound born. im wishing you all the best of luck, strength and positiveness.

Purple: I wish things would be simple and our bodies would just work right, especially when it is an important one!! Have you tried the pharmasists (cant spell lol) i went on meds for something and had a ton of questions and they were great even rung the doctor when they were unsure! Hope it all works out ok!!

Hi JATS82 welcome to the group, i hope you have luck with the clomid and get your BFP soon! I believe you know how many children you want and you know when you want to stop so dont feel you should 'be happy' with the ones you have, if you can have more children and are happy then why not have as many as you want. A friend of mine wants like four and the lucky girl can get preg with a drop of a hat lol

Well i thought i O'd last week but now i am very unsure, the last couple of days cm has been plentiful and thick (sorry tmi lol) and i have been getting mild 'period' like pains, i thought AF might be coming but it would be way way too early for her to show her ugly head, im so confused im going to do the ov test tomorrow cos im away atm and dont have them with me, i also have really sore and heavy bbs which usually comes with af so i am very confused. Do you think maybe i have O'd later then i thought? But it showed up on the tests so i just dont know ;-(

i had just written out a long post with some personals then my internet shut down grrrrr

So just a quick post...update with me. After freaking out that i may have missed ovulation things are looking a bit more promicing now. I had a temp drop this morning so will be interested to see what it does tomo. Am disappointed haven't really had much CM. Cervix feels a bit open but still medium low but starting to get softer. Have completely ditched the ebay OPK as got nothing at all on them. The forelife ones show a line that is nearly as dark as control but not quite. TOday and worse tonight i have had some pains round my left ovaries so hoping that means that i will be ovulating soon (or have i am not sure!) FX hoping we have done enough BD to catch the egg.

I took my 4th clomid tablet today, only 1 more and hopefully Af leaves soon so we can get a move on with the BDing!! lol.
I was very confused as to when to start the clomid so after 4 days of the very light bleed I started it anyway, thinking that was all I was going to get. The next day it came very heavy!!! So now I have know idea, maybe I started the clomid too early???? Just hope it still works.....knowing my luck I have just ruined my first cycle!

WOw this mth has been a wirlwind LOL. Still have NO idea if i have ovulated (or am ovulating) lol. Getting used to charting everything and doing temps, checking cervix and firs cycle of using OPK. Ebay OPK were absolutely useless. LAst couple of days with other brand i have got a couple of possible positives (same colour as control) but then today got a def positive test is like double dark as the control. DH is sick with the flu so says has no energy i told him does not matter really want to get in another BD tonight. Have basically had non-existent CM this cycle so not holding out any high hopes for a BFP but i guess only time will tell.

Still no AF for me (day 48)! I dropped into the gyno to see if they had any earlier appointments but he is away all next week so I probably will have to wait till the 26th sad

Purple: How are you going with your Clomid? Are you taking it at night time? Noticed any side effects? It’s so hard to read our bodies and know what to do! I have never spotted before AF so not any help sorry!

Kylie: Do you think that they could be early pregnancy symptoms? Or more like OV? Hope things work out for you!

JDMUM: I know exactly what you mean about forcing DH to BD... I have had to do that a few times with DF. I haven’t been telling him when I think that I am OVing because he seems to get stage fright (shhh lol) so if I don’t tell him, there is no pressure!

Nix...I am the same as you. I dont tell DH that I think I might ovulating anymore cos he sounds the same as your DH. He gets all funny and tries to do anything possible to avoid BD but then maybe thats just me thinking that cos he tells me all the time how much he wants another baby!

We will continue to TTC but it might put on the back burner for a little while cos I am returning to work on a part time basis just to help cover the bills for a while. But who knows maybe not thinking about it so much will make it easier to fall pregnant haha.

Day 20 of my cycle and I actually feel like i might ovulating. I know my blood tests showed that i wasnt but it kinda works out that it seems i ovulate every second month and this might be it yay! Wont tell DH tho haha. We BD'over the weekend but he works night shift so its hard to do it during the day with the kids around...ah well see what happens

I am Nic 26 and DP is 25. We have been TTC #1 for 13 months. I found out I have PCOS in Feb this year and I am about to start my first cycle of Clomid today!!!!

My cycles have varied in length from around 20 days to 40 ish days and my longest cycle was over 120 days!! I also had a few 60ish day cycles aswell.

So I am CD2 and I have to take Clomid from CD2 to CD6, then get CD21 bloods done..

Fingers crossed it works first cycle.

Is anyone else taking Clomid?

Hi all. Thought i would join this thread because i think i feel at home in this one with all the talk of PCOS. Anyway i am currently on CD26 of a usually 32 day cycle. Last month it was 27 days, so who knows. Anyway i am a clomid and metformin girl. I have been taking 100mg of clomid for the last 3 months. Fingers crossed this is the month but don't feel very confident as i did a test on day 24 and it was a BFN. I have an appointment with my fertility specialist on Wednesday. If the clomid didn't work for the last 3 months he said he is going to put me in for a laparoscopy. Both my 2 little boys were conceived on clomid and metformin so I know it can work. It is just so frustrating!!! So don't give up, the clomid can work for us women with PCOS. Fingers crossed this is all our month!!!!!!

just did a HPT and it was a BFN. I think i am going to give up. This is too hard. I am so depressed because i just got a phone call off my best friend who has announced she is pregnant. I've had enough!

there IS a light at the end of that tunnel, you will reach it eventually.. just some are a little faster than other... me i got there at a snails pace.. but i DID get there! hang in there ok!

I'm Ali, i'm 27 and DH is 28 and we've been TTC for the past 6 months. I've also been diagnosed with PCOS about 3 months ago...

Luckily I have a brilliant GP who referred me to a FS straight away and I started my first ovulation induction cycle this month. He didn't mention anything about clomid but started me on FSH injections. Currently CD15 and waiting to hear back about blood test results from this morning...

I'm looking forward to sharing this journey with others that understand the highs and lows of irregular cycles (sometimes I think I'm going crazy!) and also hearing other peoples experiences with PCOS...

Just a quick one. Little bit excited. CD8 (and first cycle on clomid) and today I have noticed some nice ewcm, if you could describe bodily functions as being nice!! lol Hopefully that is a good sign that things are working as they should. Not too sure though if my temp. should be up at this stage, maybe clomid still having an affect? This morning it was 36.7 and this is a temp I dont usually get until after ovulation. Oh well, will keep monitoring and see how I go. fingers crossed!!!!!

purple I am soooo hopeful for you. I've got just about everything crossed that you get your BFP really soon. You have been so fantastic and supportive to me (and everyone else) through my long and often disappointing ttc journey and you so deserve another precious bundle.
