Hi All <span class="emoticon smile">smile</span> DD is turning one on Saturday and we are having a Giggle and Hoot party. A firend is amking a hoot cake and I was going to make these cupcakes(this is my practice tonight). Do you think they look silly, they looked good when I saw the recipe but when I make them, they look like a two year old (or DD) could have made them. What do you think?

They look good to me. I make cakes for my friends all the time and they look heaps better than some of my first attempts!

Thanks, my best friend makes fantastic cakes so I thought it might be a bit embarassing to produce something like these infront of her awesome hoot cake laugh

Thank-you! smile I feel much better about them now, and at the end of the day they are for kids so I am sure the will think they are ok, oh and they do taste alright thats the main thing tongue

Zinkles, I think in your case not knowing what Giggle and hoot is, might be a blessing laugh

I just stumbled across this and that cupcake looks soooooo hootastic lol

Could you let me know where you got the recipe from? I am seriously thinking of having DS 1st birthday be a giggle and hoot theme and cupcakes like that would be awesome.
