How to wean from the breast Rss

Hi Everyone, i need some advise, i have a 7 month old and she has been breastfed since birth. I am planning on weaning her off the breast and onto formula which she has already started taking, however, because I have been settling her to sleep by breastfeeding her, I am really struggling with how I should go about weaning her - does anyone have any similar experiences or advise on how I should do this. She has been on solids for a while now, but has fussy days - where she is eating better on the solids than other days, She also does not sleep much during the day, she sleeps well at night but goes to bed really late. And it takes me a while to settle her as she normallhy does her poos after 930pm and wont sleep much before then. I know i have probably done the wrong thing by settling her to sleep by feeding her but it really worked well when she was younger and i enjoyed the time we spent, it is only now that I think I will pay the price. Any advise would be welcome. thanks heaps.
As a suggestion, fix one issue at a time. Do not try to fix the weaning and the settling at the same time. Do one at a time.

Weaning do it slowly...rushing may result in your BB becoming sore.Try not to give baby a bottle to take to bed, as I am told it can cause teeth decay because the milk stays in their mouth (a little).

There are several ways to settle your child without resorting to feeding. If you can be bothered there are also several books on the topic. If you are co-sleeping I am unable to assist you with settling techniques as I do not do this. However, if bubs is in a cot, then I can assist.

I personally prefer modified controlled crying as it does not leave the child crying for too long, and you are there to comfort them as they learn to settle into their bed on their own. If you want me to help you with this, PM me...

Controlled crying, I believe is for older children, however I understand that it is used also for younger children.
