I'm not sure if I totally understand your question, but I don't see why seeing your family once a week makes you immature - it just means you like spending time with them, they are your family after all.

Huh? No!!! I live away from my family. My sister and i talk on the phone AT LEAST once a day. More if it's a weekend! It's not immature OR mature. Its because you love them.

Maybe ask your husband if he hopes that your own children will visit him when they have grown up. Will it make them immature if they visit him.

I totally agree with what you have said. My DH has the same problem with me being close to my family. Although i dont think its a problem as such more that he has never had anything to do with there relatives growing up and his parents really dont give a f**k about him now so he finds it really hard. Does he have much to do with his family? Was it the same for him growing up??

I take my boys to see my mum and dad sometimes 3 times a week. It's not immature but my husband doesn't really like it either.

I make sure I see family at least once a week and its usually for at least a few hours. I have my mum and step dad, my dad and stepmum and parents in law. I would see 2 sets out of the three at least every fortnight. (it changes which ones, but mum - every week) We live 45 mins away from all of them!
