Afternoon mums, my 4mth old lost his appetite... for the last couple of weeks he will hardly drink anything, some feeds he would only drink 60ml from 180ml, sometimes even less! which up until now he would be always wanting more than 180ml...
He seems to be happy, smiling, "talking", kicking, playing and just generally looks well. (Doesnt sleep longer than 40 min at ones anymore...) sometimes cries when trying to feed him, but the same time is "looking" for the bottle with his mouth... could he be teething? and his mouth is sore?
Very confused and surprised as he always been such a good eater. If you could share your thoughts would be great... Thanks in advance! smile
Hi! The exact same thing is hsppening to my baby boy. He will be 4 months on the 6th of April and barely eats 40 mls at each feed, he can go hours & hours (up to 7-9 hrs during tge day!) without a feed! When he does that i assume he will be hungry when i feed him, & yet only ends up drinking 40-50mls! He used to drink 120 at almost every feed & that just suddenly stopped about 3 wks ago! I also dont know what else to do--- he seems happy but does get tired very easily.
He has white spots on his gums & i thought it was teething but i took him to the doctors & he said it was thrush, so hes taking medication for that but doesnt seem to be helping return his appetite
sad
Does your LO gag wen you try to feed him?? How much does he weigh?
