starting solids next week Rss

Seeing as i cant seem to sleep tonight, i thought that i would share that im going to start feeding my little bubs solids starting on monday. he will be 5 months then... it has been a struggle to hold him off for this long! im just a bit nervous and excited about it.
was wondering if anyone has any tips or advice that might help the nerves??
Not much advice but I would start on Farex baby cereal mixed with formula or breast milk not water. Make sure your in a quiet room so your baby can concentrate and learning how to eat solids.

My little girl did great with solids she didnt stay on a tbs for long lol smile

i started with the farex, but my son absolutely hated it!! so ive decided to make my own. im starting with pureed banana (which he is loving) and started to introduce pureed sweet potato today... he wasnt to keen on that, but the faces he was pulling was really funny and cute. im going to start next with some apple and then brown rice cereal.

now just have to work out how to coordinate it with breast feeding...
Try the organic rice cereal (I think the brand is Raffertys) instead of farex. When I started mine on solids I just did one meal a day for a couple of weeks at any time of day that was convenient and then added a second so we did lunch and dinner. I would try and space it so they would have a bf and then an hour later a solid meal.
