finger food for ten month old Rss

Hi, I am slowly starting to give my little ten month old some finger foods, and am a bit confused about what he can have. He seems to be coping quite well with apples cut into quarters and toast, the odd biscuit, but now what???

I don't remember my older two children (3 1/2 and 6) eating finger food until they were a lot older, but he seems to be grabbing at it, probably because the older ones are eating it.

I should add that he doesnt necesarily swallow the food - more just sucks on it and maybe swallows a few little nibbles. But I guess at this stage its just getting used to the whole feeding himself concept.

Not sure what happened to my memory between number two and number three - I don't seem to remember a thing when it comes to food, development milestones etc! Baby brain to the extreme!!
banana, avocado, any soft fruit - carrot sticks (slightly boil), potatoe, kumera, pumpkin.
When we first started we did anything that could turn to mush in the mouth while they were chewing.
Cruskits or rice crackers are also good.

scrambled egg

peas

corn fritters

pita bread, fruit toast

grated cheese & carrot

Macaroni - mac and cheese yum!

Quesadillas made with shredded chicken and cheese

Raisins, dried apricots

Mini muffins

Any soft cooked veges - beans, pumpkin, potato etc - oven fries are good.
I was very nervous about giving my son solids for the first time because of how they mess with their food. Then I sat at his eye level and did the whole " LOOK LIKE MUMMY!" in my exciting voice and did big overexagerated eating gestures with my mouth open so he got the idea. He naturally wanted to copy me and picked it up very quickly. He was also very proud of himself for doing something new.
Show your son how to do it then you can feed him anything that's not too hard (unless he has his molars, I can't remember what age that was lol)
