Wrapping or not to sleep @ 4 months? Rss

Our DD is 4 months and I still wrap her in the day for naps and she has a 'Love to Dream' swaddle suit for nights. My chiro suggested it is time to let her sleep unwrapped now as babies need to be able to strecth out and get rid of the startle reflex on their own.

What do others do for baby sleep time?
DD let us know when she was ready to stopped being wrapped.. Think it was around 4.5 mths.. All of a sudden she wouldnt settle & would "escape" out of her wrap.. Thats when we stopped wrapping her, I would try putting her down unwrapped & if she is unsettles just wrap her again.. How is her Reflux going???
i think with my DD she was about 4.5months when we started to wrap her a bit looser so she could eventually get out, then once she got used to it we just put her in a grobag, i think that was 5months.

our DS was a nightmare so i wont even go into it but bub #3 is 3 months now and still tightly wrapped, but hes quite happy if he gets his arms out too, so i think hell be between 4-5months when we stop wrapping.

all bubs are different tho smile just experiment and do what works for you
DS1 & DS2 were around 4 or 5 months old when I stopped wrapping them..
With DS3 I began wrapping him a bit looser at about 4 months until he was used to which wasn't till about 6 months..

Each bub is different, experiment and see what works for you. smile

Hi,
We have been giving her the reflux meds from the Dr but nothing really has changed so I really just think it's wind that is upsetting her at night not silent reflux. When she has a screaming meltdown, I think being tired is the major factor so I'm working on getting her in a relaxed mode before she gets really worn out! Her awake time seems to be forever changing though so some days it's hard to get in quick enough! Being my first, I am forever questioning what I'm doing but learning to just RELAX and follow my insincts about lots of things. You can really go mental with ann overload of information about babies!! smile
