Hello,

I would like to know if anybody has experienced this before; I gave birth through a cesarean, 6 weeks after stopped bleeding; i didn't breastfeed at all. I got my first period few weeks after, and now I am waiting for my second period, but it's about 5 days late which is why I am worried.
There is no chance of pregnancy. What could be wrong?

i was going to post a very similar question. i had dd2 3 1/2mths ago, bled for 5 weeks and have not had a period since and i doubt there's a chance of being pregnant. i tried to breastfeed/express for a week and then switched to bottle. dd2 was born natural though. have you seen a gp?? i haven't had much chance and thought i must go soon and find out tongue

i have breastfed all my kiddies, but each time my period has taken months and months to slip back into routine as such, i only had one or two periods inbtween birth of number one and becoming preg with number two (they are 18 months apart) but i only breastfed for 14 weeks, i wouldnt stress about it, after number two i had very irregular periods about 3 or 4 before number three's pregnancy and she is now 4 weeks old. If you are worried maybe ring healthline or your doc? but im pretty sure its normal and it may take a wee while to get back to normal!!!!! smile

I had a ceasearian, Had to start formula feed at 2months i bleed for about 6 weeks and then i had nothing for another 6 weeks. My first period was very light and only lasted 2 days. Then my second period was late. Think about another 5 weeks. And that was heavy. Doctor said its normal apparantly. Body just has to get back in sync. I have heard of people who have only gotten one period and then hadnt gotten another one for a couple of months aswell. Hope it helps grin

I had the same thing although I had a vaginal birth but I formula fed.
I only bled for about 3 weeks but took another 7 to then my period. Knew I wasn't pregnant coz sex was the last thing on my mind then lol but then the nxt after was 6 then 5 nd has been bout that ever since.
I think ur body is still going through a lot after birth. If ur bak to sex nd u dnt want another bubba yet make sure ur taking precautions coz its very easy to fall pregnant smile
