eczema
I have a 12 week old daughter she has eczema every where other than her torso! I feel like I own the whole chemist, I have tried Moogoo, Dermaveen, sorbalene, paw paw and johnstons creams, curash, aveeno baby pinetarsol, sorbalene and johnstons bathwash and I use a sensitive washing powder. She is fully breastfed and I dont really eat much dairy? Please has anyone got any tips?? I am waiting to get into another doc as mine said as long as i breast feed she will always have some kind of rash - not happy! Thanks

hiya, i dont have a baby with excema but lookd after a few, of course it could be anything in your diet that is getting through to bubs, there is a formula called neocate from your gp that is suited for excema childn with allergens, (not saying you have to just letting you know it out there) the excema could be infected, this happens quite often or be getting irritaed by clothing etc, put bubs in %100 cotton and see if that helps, sometimes seams can irritate too, hope it is semi helpful. Most hopstials have excema nurses who can offer you help too. otherwise ys see another gp cos you could get referral to skin specialist.
Hi there,my 10 month old has eczema on his face, back and inside elbows and behind his knees. We just saw a Dematologist about 2 months ago and his recommandations for our son were 100% cotton colthing and blankets, cut of all tags on clothes, dont put him on the grass, dont have bath water to hot, keep his room cool but not too cool, also if you have carpet he said to lay down cotton blankets and also said for me to wear cotton shirts but if not possible just put a cotton blanket over your shoulder. As for creams we were told to use Aqueous cream and to use it every nappy change and for the bath we use Avene Bath emollient.
We found out last week that DS3 also is loctose intolerent so he is now on a lactose free formula. His skin now is not to bad but there are days were its red and angry. We go back to Dermotologist next month and possibly have him allergy tested done at hospital.
Thats great you are seeing another doctor so you can get to the bottom of it.All the best.

Hi everyone,
try billiegoatsoap.com.au
it has all natural ingredients and no petrochemicals or fragrance, I absolutely love it! I use the baby body wash on myself as well as my baby.

I found eggs were affecting my dd1 a lot (i breastfed her, she wasnt actually eating the eggs). I see you have already tried a lot of things, sometimes they do take a while to work though, unless something makes it worse, you may need to stick to a particular cream for a while until its 99% cleared up. And then stick to it!! lol
I used sorbolene for so long with dd1 and eventually it stopped working which was distressing.
What i do now is use gaia bubble bath and shampoo and then after every bath and/or before bed and when i dress her in the morning i use Aveeno baby moisturiser. The Aveeno didnt work straight away, it took well over a week i think.
I find the weather sets her off, too.
I hope you find something soon. GL smile
