Teeth cleaning? Rss

Hi all,

My bub is 8 months and has two very prominent bottom teeth. It might be a little early to clean them now but I want to know when you all started cleaning your child's teeth? Did you go by age or by how many teeth they have?

I started cleaning to some point as soon as they had teeth. Once they were eating I got right into it & are a massive teeth cleaner as my both my girls have chalky weak teeth which just breaks my heart.

We have always done the right thing with their teeth just at 3 yrs DD1 had to get put to sleep & woke up missing 2 teeth & had 3 filling, since then she's had another 3 fillings & she is only 5. DD2 is following quickly behind, I think she has had 3 fillings (she sits beautifully in the chair)& is booked in for another 2. They use tooth moose, brush twice a day & are limited to suguary food & don't drink sugary drinks etc. Just can't win!

If I was you I would be cleaning those bottom teeth either with a cloth or a kids toothbrush with a teeny tiny bit of kids toothpaste.
as soon as they had teeth i started cleaning them. at first i just gave them a wipe with a clean facewasher in the bath and gave them a toothbrush to chew/playwith. then once they got a couple more (about 4-6 teeth) and were eating a wider variety of foods i started with kids toothpaste and using a brush at bathtime and most mornings too..good habit to start young and because both my kids were so familiar with the brush and the routine i now have an 18month and a 3 yr old who actually remind ME after breaky that they have to brush their teeth and we have absolutely no hassles with it.
