(I posted this in the newborn forum but no one answered so thought id try here)
My little girl is 7 weeks old this week and all of a sudden she has been sooo unsettled, crying alot & very hard to settle at night.

She was so content before and would go to bed quite easily, maybe a little cry for a couple of mins but would always fall asleep on her own.

The last couple of days, she is always whining and needs to be bounced or held when she is awake. Then at night, there is no way she will go to sleep on her own. She has to lay on my chest. Even if i get her to sleep as soon as i put her down, she wakes up, crying and its a very emotional cry.

She is feeding fine, maybe a little extra at a couple of feeds but nothing out of the ordinary.

She had her needles last week, could this be because of this? Or maybe her 6 week growth spurt? or could it be something else?

Hi there. Yes it could be the 6 weekly growth spurt or the fact that she had her needles. My twin boys were the same. I always knew when they were having a growth spurt as they were always so unsettled. It can be quite distressing but it does settle. Try giving her a nice warm bath before bed time. If you have a play mobile above her cot put that on, maybe the soothing sounds it makes will settle her. Hopefully she will settle again soon. i found mine were always a little unsettled for a week or two before they would get back to their nice routine.
