Nappy Pants Rss

DD2 is becoming a pain in the bum during change time (no pun intended laugh )

Can anyone here tell me how they go with sizing? Are they the same as nappies or do they fit slightly different than normal nappies?
She's 8kg & has just moved up to toddler sized nappies, but these are still just a tad too big but the crawler nappies seemed to be getting too small.

Or better yet, does anyone know if i can get a sample?
I have the same problem, My sons in crawler but they are getting too tight on him ( leaving marks ) I tried him on Joniour and they seem too be ok but too big.

If you find an answer, i would love an answer smile

Have you tired the select branded nappies, I think they cause a nappie rash (my opion) but they strech alot
I tried the select brand with DD1 awhile ago they weren't too bad but she did get abit rashy and they smelt worse after wee's.

I like huggies smile
Yeah they have samples ... I have been inundated with them! I got most of them from a local parenting course but I think I also got some from this site so just have a hunt around. But I could be getting confused because I know I got a sample of Pull-Ups from this site so maybe I'm thinking of that.

In terms of sizing, I find that the Nappy Pants tend to fit a little smaller - I guess this is because the waist/hips can't be adjusted so it needs to be snug when it's actually on, so this can sometimes make them a little tight to put on in the first place.

But, I personally haven't found that they've helped to make change time any easier. Yep, they're obviously easier to put on. But when you have to take them off, it makes no difference as you just rip them at the side same as nappies, and I find that if you're dealing with number 2s it's actually much harder as for some reason it tends to travel half-way up DD's back if we've used Nappy Pants! Sorry if TMI but just saying ...

Lots of babies do go through a phase of being really annoying at change time, and for me what worked is just to put up with it! Try to keep the baby occupied by giving them a board book to look at or a small toy to play with while you change them.

Hmm... might have to go for a free sample hunt!

Thats what I thought they might be like, a little bit tighter around the waist, we had that issue when DD1 used pullups awhile back. And number 2's in pullups are horrible!! lol.

As soon as I lay DD2 down to change her nappy, she gets cranky & flips straight over (or she'll wait til ive taken her nappy off to be funny! <img src='http://www.huggies.com.au/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='<_<' /> ) Any toys/books i give her to keep her occupied just get thrown at me or to the side, then she flips over to try and get it! She REALLY doesnt like change time! Ohh the joys of babies!! LOL!
Yeah pullups might not be much easier. But if we could find some free samples then we'll know if change time can get a little bit easier smile

Hmmm ... or you could try blatant bribery?! That's what they do at daycare ... "if you lie still you can have a stamp when we're done!" smile

Hmm... one day that may work, but my 12 month old doesnt give a rats about stamps yet lol.
Try the crawler size as DS is 17mths and he is 12kg and in the toddler size. You don't want then too big or # 2's might leak out! I use nappy pants after swimming, changes in the car and anywhere that I have to have DS standing.

As for the staying still whilst changing - nappy pants won't stop this! DS just trys to run away instead of rolling away! I think they all go through this stage, just be firm with her, have 1 toy that is a change time toy that you keep with the wipes, and learn to use 1 hand while the other holds her down!

Good luck to you!

Oh really ... my DD has always been into them. Every day when she comes home from daycare covered in stamps, I have to ask her what she got those for because she'll say really loudly "BUM!!!" It makes me laugh every time. (But I have seen that now she is older she just helps herself to the stamp and it isn't a reward for good behaviour at all!) smile

Thanx for your reply smile There are definitely times when the pants would be much more convenient *recalling numerous occasions when ive almost done the nappy up then DD2 wriggles away & I have to adjust the nappy again... then again... then again...*

I have learnt quickly to put a nappy on with one hand whilst DD2 tries to wrestle my other arm with her legs laugh if only there was an easier way!! DD1 wasnt NEARLY this wriggly! lol

That 'one toy for change time' is a good idea. Then its something 'special' that she doesnt get to play with all the time. In the meantime, i'll just keep being persistant (and quick)
