How i got rid of cradle cap Rss

Hi,

I just wanted to share that I got rid of my DD's cradle cap almost instantly. A friend told me to try vaseline and a credit card. I was a bit hesitant to do this incase it hurt DD. I put some baby oil on her head after her bath yesterday just to moisturise and in the afternoon i noticed that it had softened it up so that it came away easily just with my finger nail. So i decided to apply more baby oil onto her head and leave it overnight just to make sure it soaked right in. Then today i put a little more on and i got my bank card and gently rubbed and what do you know it all came away.

She looked quite a sight with flaky cruddy bits all through her hair lol but it actually worked. I have not been treating it with oil or anything for the last few weeks because i wanted to see if it would go on its own, but it wasnt going so i thought id try some oil just to moisturise it at least.

Im not sure if it might have worked because it wasnt too severe and maybe it was ready to come away just needed a little help. I guess if you are going to try it maybe just do a small spot first and leave for a while to make sure the skin is not too raw.

I just washed it off in the bath and it looked a tiny bit red so i put some sorbolene cream on incase the skin was a bit irritated, but after 5 mins it just looked like a perfectly normal scalp and doesnt seem irritated at all

Just wanted to share smile
thats exactly what my friend told me to do lol
Oh nice! I am so going to try this. I have tired rubbing it in but never thought of scraping it off with a card. smile
Great tip, thanks! I have been trying to get rid of DD's for ages so I will try this method tonight. Thanks again for sharing.
Just a question for everyone who gets rid of cradle cap- any method, Doesn't it make their hair fall out too?

Enytime i tried to get rid of my kids cradle cap, their hair came out with it??? - not all their hair, just a strand or two, but for my kids that made a big difference grin
Yes Penny quite a few of her really fine hairs came out with it but she has a decent crop on her head so u cant really notice
I have a natural and organic baby range that includes Cradle Cap treatment. You can find it at www.myrtleandtuppence.com.au and the name of the product is Crusty Coconut. Good luck to you all.
Yep when I did my DDs hair when she was around 6 months most of her hair where I put the oil came out aswell! Didn't look very good at all. I did the same thing with my DS when he was younger and didn't have any problems at all.

I have just been through 2 bottles of egozite oil from the chemist and my DD's cradle cap is FINALLY gone. Hoping that it stays this way.
My mother, grandmother and my self all used on our kids, olive oil and a nit comb. I since have learnt that macadamia nut oil is much better
pawpaw stuff!! awesome.
