I was changing my baby before and noticed quite a bright red patch where his penis sits on his testicles and a little on the underside of his penis too.He has never had nappy rash so I'm not sure what it looks like? Would he get it there? Hate to think he is in pain sad I put some sudocream on it but not sure if it will help!
red patch under penis, what could it be?

Firstly how old is your son ??
It could be a rash
Sudo cream excellent nappy rash
If your son is teething it could be because of that
Or change in brands such as nappys or wipes
There a number of reasons why nappy rash can happen
If your concerned take him to community healthy clinic or doctor.

My son get the same thing sometimes and I had it checked out his surgeon said it was eczema at the time he didn't have it anywhere else

my son is 10mths today, he too gets the red rash under his penis, not all the time, i put it down to sweat rash i just give him a bath and use sudocrem cream and is gone the next day.

Hi, my son had it too and he is 6 months old. I showed my health nurse and she said its from when the penis rests on the scrotum. Similar to how the fold in the neck can go red and you have to clean regularly - its the same with under the penis where it rests on the scrotum. I used some sudocrem and the mark went away. I just make sure I clean there every time I change his nappy. Hope this helps!
