How do I go about settling him into his own room?
Hi Maree
I have a 6 week old that ever since is birth hasn’t settled well in a bassinet. He is extremely windy and prefers sleeping almost upright, however I find that I can get some sleep if he settles in bed with me... but I think it’s now time I tried to get him into his own room and his cot which I’ll elevate slightly (he’s almost too big for his bassinet now anyway!).
How do I go about settling him into his own room? Thanks
Maree...
Answer:
Hi,
He will already be relying on your comfort to settle so he may protest a bit. Try following our settling program along with a feed/play/sleep routine this will teach him to sleep independnetly, at this age it is all hands on and no leaving baby.
Cheers Maree
