Background: Maree, my 6 month old daughter has been waking every hour through the night since she was 4 1/2 months old. My husband and I thought it may have been an ear infection, then we thought it was because of her cold, then her brace for her clicky hips. We tried many different remedies but they all failed. We now know that it`s not any of those things due to elimination processes.
She is very easy to put down in the night and day, she puts herself to sleep, I`ve never had to rock or feed her to sleep so I cannot understand why she won`t stay asleep. (she stays asleep during the day)
She feeds at any time between 6 and 8pm and will then feed at any time between 4 and 6am.
Q: When she wakes, all we have to do is put her dummy back in and she nods off straight away, do you have any idea why she is doing this? IS it for attention? What can we do about it?
Thankyou
Sarah Horneman
It sounds to me like the dummy may need to go. I seems she is relying on this as her sleep association and looks for it when she wakes on her light sleep.
Cheers, Maree
