I wish I could answer your question about how long babies can suffer from this, but it can be different for every baby. It can also depend what the underlying issue is – whether it is reflux like you suspect, or something else entirely.

The first step is to determine exactly what that is. Have you spoken with your doctor or child health nurse about the problems you are having? If not, then I would highly recommend that you do. They should be able to help figure out if it is reflux, or another problem (sometimes other conditions can appear the same). Once you know what you are dealing with, then you can attempt to address these issues.
