The best way you can help is to ensure that you have a diagnosis. Please go and talk to your doctor about whether it is reflux or not. This is really important as there can be other conditions that present similarly and it makes no point to treat it as reflux if it isn`t

There are a lot of different strategies you can try if it is reflux, with some management ideas listed on our website. Sometimes medication will be necessary, but other times it may not be.
