Hi there,
My 2 year old daugther is very fussy with her yoghurts, and I have tried many brands and varieties, but is still in search of a healthy option that is not high in sugar, but yet not too sour at the same time.
She is petrified of anything sour, and would often scrunches her face at something she considers to be sour. Unfortunately she thinks most of the yoghurts offered are sour and is very reluctant to eat them.
I have tried the Petite Miam brand lately and she doesn`t seem to mind them as much, are these good compared to Vaalia and Jalna?
thanks for your time
Deneise
Well you might have me there, Jalna is I think one of the creamiest yoghurts, you can even get a lovely peach one that has no added sugar (rare for a fruit yoghurt). I cant voucher for Petite Miam, I may be wrong but at a guess I would say they are sweetened thicken milk, with added probiotics as opposed to a true yoghurt. This might be why she prefers it as it is more of a dessert taste?
The only other option would be to try to make one, something you can both do?
I did a tip sheet on yoghurts and sourced a yoghurt recipe, the link is:
Yoghurt
I guess also you could add it to smoothies, that might be a way of getting yoghurt into her diet without the worry? Its amazing what you can pack into a smoothie, they can be power packed!
Hope that provides some help.
All the best,
Leanne
